1 Cor. 13

If I should speak in the tongues of men and angels,
  but have not love,
I am but a clanging bell or resounding gong.
I may have the gift of prophecy,
and understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
I may have faith so strong as to move mountains,
but if I have no love I am nothing.
I may give away all that I have,
I may give my body to be burned,
but if I have no love, it is for nothing.
Love is patient and always kind.
Love is not jealous or proud.
Love makes no parade, gives itself no airs,
  is not easily provoked.
Love keeps no record of wrongs,
  and delights not in wrong-doing,
  but delights in the truth.
Love is eternal.
Are there prophets? Their work will end.
Are there tongues of ecstasy? They will pass.
Is there knowledge? It will vanish away.
For your knowledge and prophecy are partial
and the partial vanishes when wholeness comes.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child,
I understood as a child; I thought as a child,
but when I grew older, I was done with childish things.
So faith, hope, and love abide.
But the greatest of these is love.
Love bares all burdens, believes always,
  hopes always, endures always.
